RCS Real Estate Advisors had been a respected advisor and service provider to prominent retailers for years and based its broad experience in retail real estate and a unique understanding of the retail industry. When it comes to developing the real estate strategy yielding best business results, finding the perfect retail location or negotiating lease terms, no one does it better.
That leadership position, however, wasn't recognized as well as it should have been and their service offerings were not defined. RCS (formally Retail Consulting Services) needed to jump-start its brand, without losing sight of the strengths and capabilities already resident in their reputation.

The Brewery immediately recognized the missing and underdeveloped elements of a strong service brand. Service offerings needed to be expressed more clearly, and with greater focus on value. Offerings needed to be organized in a manner that made sense to the market, not just the company. Sharp, clear brand messages and effective communication tools needed to be developed to reduce reliance on person-to-person brand building. RCS needed a new name that better captured the nature of its business and all the ways the firm delivered value to clients. It needed a distinctive logo, tagline and visual system to help tell the brand story.

It required definition of how the brand created value for clients- through extensive retail real estate experience, unmatched understanding of the retail industry, exceptional access to landlords and proven negotiating skills. It demanded a clear brand message explaining the firm's ability to help not merely build the right real estate portfolio for each client, but also to make them grow and work harder to contribute to retail business results. And to capture market attention, RCS needed a design system that reflected the breadth and depth of its brand. The Brewery helped drive answers to all those issues- answers that collectively created a solution.
